HOLLAND AND ENGLAND ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!! I really want Holland to win though, as they play freeflowing football and are really entertaining. Italy might cheat and dive their way to the Semifinal, but they'll get their ass kicked by Holland just like they did in Euros. France will suck, England might make it to Semifinals, Germany will beat them there, and Spain will lose in Quarterfinals.
For the underdogs, I REALLY want Turkey to do well.
I want Greece and Nigeria to do well cos thats where im from but i also want england as i was born and raised here. I reckon that argentina will win the next world cup.
My Czechs are always ranked high, but they never win it in the end. After blowing the Euro match against Turkey (who lets up 3 goals in 14 minutes!?!?!?), I lost all hope.
The Italians disappointed me big time at Euro as well. I think they are too old. The Netherlands have no chance unless they improve that defense. I would predict Spain to win, though Germany and Argentina will give it a good run too. My Cinderella picks are Russia and Croatia.
I hope england win of course but i doubt it highly unless capello sorts out the lads in time. It sbeen 42 years since we last 1. I doubt capello can get em ready in 2. I reckon Argentina for me. If messi stays on form annd riquelme and mascherano are a great in midfield. Altho as im ahlf greek and half nigerian. so i always want them to do well too.
USA most likely will not do well seeing as how the sport has not progressed much at all and they didnt do to great in 06. Brazil, my favorite international team will probably be quite competitive throughout the tourny, but i suspect they'll only reach the quarter or semi-finals. I think the team that will come out on top will be Argentina as they hav some great players and their team has been playing much better over the past year or two and they r currently number 1 in the world. messi, riquelme, crespo, and some of the other very talented players on argentina will put up a good fight in 2010 and they seem to hav a exceptional chance of holding that trophy.
they were very unlucky not to win in 06. Their manager made a terrible mistake taking off riquelme against the germans. They were dominating until that happened. He wasnt even injured neither. And at the beginning of the tourney they made that brilliant 28(i think) pass goal. They looked good at this olympics and beat the brazilians comfortably.
