LOL> He is not your friend. Beware of false friends who only talk to you because they get points for it. If you clear your comments page and they rage, they are not your friend. If they care about how much more AP they have than you, they are not your friend. If they care that you are getting AP faster than they are, they are not your friend.

Beware of false friends. The only friends they have are Armor Points.

I just really like the way you worded that.

So I have never seen or heard of this type of problem, but if they really liked you then they wouldn't care. Im not entirely sure but I don't think that just rating games without posting a comment is considered spam.

One thing i don't understand, there really isn't that many ways to "cheat" on this site. I get the spamming, but that takes time. And if your spending all your time trying to get ap, then your not spending it rating games and writing helpful reviews. Which,if you think about it, is kind of ironic because i got almost all of my ap by just playing and rating/commenting games. It is kind of what the site is about anyway right? Just a thought. The leader boards speak for themselves.

His reasoning probably goes like this.
Almost everybody on the monthly leaderboards is a spammer.
You have to get a certain amount of AP in a short amount of time.
There are so many spammers on here that it is almost impossible to succesfully (without spamming) get on the monthly leader board.
Or something like that.

That leaderboard is glitchy sometimes, and it was glitchy for a couple of years now.

People get knocked off if one of their posts or comments gets deleted. That's why a lot of the real spammers are able to hide from that list for some time.

I get the spamming, but that takes time.

Theoretically, you could rate every game in one day and get 3300 points just from doing that. Technically that does count as spamming, so it's very much frowned upon.

But it takes hardly any time at all.

i think that those leaderboards encourage spam anyway. i mean i think there should just be an all time leader board and ranking for points and forum posts and thats it

I visited that thing only 3 times in my time on AG. I guess nobody else is very interested in it.
