I'm currently debating with myself about what laptop I should get. I want a gaming laptop, so at first I thought of Alienware, but after some searching, I read that Asus are the same but cheaper. After reading some of these kinds of posts,I start leaning towards Asus, but those were all regular posts, and none of them had laptop specs. So, I need to know whether I should get the Asus G72GX, or the Alienware M15x. The Alienware costs $1,300 basic, while the Asus (supposedly) costs $1,000. I say supposedly because all the reviews on bestbuy's website say that at their local stores they got for $100 , $200, or even $300 less than the online price. So, which one should I get?
get something with a good graphics card for good picture resolution, preferably a large hard drive if you download your games, and a good processor so the games dont lag.
My friend has a Dell laptop that he uses for gaming and the IT work he does. Its an earlier version of this one. It works fine fore him and has lasted for almost a year so far.

I'd say you should get the Asus. I think Asus has a better price and it functions better than Alienware if you want gaming or something else. Sort of biased because I've only used Alienware twice or thrice.
there really good. I have a frined who plays WoW none stop, and it has never lagged for him. He only has the 4 Gb model, and that is enough to run WoW with no problem. So For gaming, get the asus. I like the Asus better for daily usage as well.
With the rate that the Laptop technology is improving, i say wait a few years because with all of the new and exciting Laptops that are coming out now, imagine how cool they would be in a few years. Which is why i've been saving up my money to buy a really good laptop.
