Hover your mouse right over your name so you can click the building spot as quick as possible. and then press the number 4. that is the hotkey for bank and is the fastest way to get your bank out b4 everyone else.
Play faci b/c its pretty easy to learn for newer players.
Get familiarized with the buildings. Like how anti air sakatas require an armory to be built but once upgraded to an arsenal the armory is not necessary to build sakatas with.
learn what micro or micromanegment of units is. For examples snipers is backing up and shooting again so your snipers are never in range of enemy units. so keep backing up and shooting.
charge bqs ahead a little and then hold to shoot down medics hiding behind hovers.
Stack your units in a straight line so you can control your units most effectively. like instead of hacking and slashing with a sword in a jungle and hoping to kill your enemy you use a scalpel like a surgeon and slit his jugular.
also dont understimate little units. spamming romans may look like a noobish move in the late game b/c they will never do damage but spamming romans is also an invaluable sheild. Enemy unit will be busy shooting worthless romans while your expensive hovers or sakats are taking out the enemies.
and lastly.... scout your enemy. Really pay attention to what he is building. the checklist of what you should be looking for is
What government are they
Which unit maker they are using (outpost/forge/specops)
what units they are going to make??
while you go through this check list you have to figure out the apropriate unit counters in time.
Usually you can figure out faci players pretty ez b/c of the fast building speed. Just watch how fast the progress bars are.
To kno if they are monarchy players base their building speed off of yourself. if you are playing monarchy and they build an outpost at the same time as you that means they are monarchy also b/c capi faci or commi players will have an outpost out faster b/c theyll get more money before you.
Have a general understanding of the prices of all the buildings. That way you can plan ahead what resources you should save up if you want to ever tech up. for example i kno that if i ever want to upgrade my outpost all the way i need a hella lotta money cuz the final upgrade cost 80 money and 50 energy.
DONT KEEP YOUR ARMORY ON TEH SAME RESOURCE, this is a hard skill to achieve b/c its important that you switch up your armory to balance to the resource you need in the future. if you want to teck up fast your armory is essential that you plan ahead what resources your going to need later.
Money is nice in the beginning but later on in the late game if you get that far is almost a uselss resource.
If your doing nothing wiht your outpost or forge at the time use it to make energy never have a building idle.
ehh these are all that i can think of off teh top of my head.
Never leave a building alone, always have it active. Whether it's building troops or building resources, it can never hurt to keep it doing something. And also; don't overbuild. If you have the advantage at the beginning, then take it! Don't wait out to build a huge army, because then the whole game will turn into a clobberfest.
Boy. PREDADERP may have over done the tips. Lol. Aren't all these tips based on instinct? xD
For 2vs2 games, teamwork is the key.
For 1vs1 games, micro and macro your units. Instinct is the key for this one.
Micro: Certain control of units, way of controlling units (example: Snipers fire at units then fall back/ Hover tanks shooting at once making, most of the time, meditecs useless.)
Macro: Mess with opponent, making your opponent pissed off, lol. (example: Black queens fire at ground units, fall back, fire again, fall back, so on, Damaging opponent's army. You're opponent might get mad at your working tactic. <_<
