That's very true...I still enjoy the games though, however ugly the pokemon may become...The magic's been re-introduced with the remakes of G/S. Hopefully they'll be able to keep it alive with B/W.
That could be true as well fallen, but I was 13 when the pokemon tv show first came out, so by the time the frenzy took hold I was already past the age of it being something worth my time hence, from my perspective, it's always been boring.
As far as I'm concerned, Pokemon pretty much stopped existing after the second generation - it got incredibly repetitive. It's the same exact game with more places and better graphics, and that's that. Of course they're going to get boring, I sure as hell wouldn't play them anymore.
But they were good while they were new, and now they're just for the sell, so I try to ignore them best I can.

Haha, yes, I was only joking. Pokemon started when I was a kid, it was the only show that had the power to make me sit in front of the tv each day to follow it. Then, shits like digimon and beyblade started and it only keeps getting worse and worse even today so yes, I miss the old times of pokemon. You know; Ash catching his caterpie and then letting him go...I remember I cried when he did so, that bastard. Pikachu owning Lt.Surge's Raichu...that was awesome...
Another reason pokemon gets boring is because in pretty much any good videogame, movie, or book series the creater has years and years to think about it(sometimes their whole life). But once these ideas run out, they usually make a fail series two or something because they are in a rush because the fans want it to come out soon. So the creater has to either add a new horrible fail storyline or basicly repeat the whole first series. Most creaters would just add the fail storyline, but whoever created pokemon is just repeating it over and over... the anime is ridiculously retarded, the games have horrible names, and the whole storyline is a repeat.
