I've been looking at some of the action games and I wonder why they're not under shooting games. If you look at them, half have some sort of gun in the picture.
Is there something that makes a shooter game a shooter game and the same for action? I wonder ..
I guess shooter games are when you stay in one spot or a small area. Action game are when you go alot of places or theres not that much shooting. Thats what I think. Anyone else have any ideas?
Shooter game: Your main weapon is a gun and most of the time, like Thrax13 said, in small areas. This allows for different levels, just stays in a relative place. If the game is a long shooter game, you will go different places. Most of the time doesn't have a big storyline. Adventure game: You are in an adventure, most likely to save somebody A.K.A Damsel in Distress. Either that or as a mission of some sort, but you need a complete purpose. Focuses more on a certain something rather than how a shooter game is basically, kill everybody.
I prefer RPG's, as far as actual console games go. Shooting games, when on a site like this, are sometimes fun, and Adventure flash games are almost always entertaining. But, I would believe the best type of game is an action-adventure-shooter, if there is such a thing.
