hhmmm quite interesting!a legit video, doesn;t appear to be edited, but as far as 'unidentified flying object' for UFO yes but not actual 'alien'....

It's probably a Chinese Lantern. Those things glow very intensely even at high altitudes. The size of the object when the camera isn't zoomed in appears about the same size and shape as a standard Chinese Lantern should and the flickering of the flame explains the changing shades of the light. It also didn't seem to be moving much, as a paper balloon should.

I haven't seen any evidence that would tell me this wouldn't be a lantern and a hell of a lot of things that to me make it look light the Chinese Lanterns I've experienced seeing in the air.

Universe is so big that it never ends and if you think that in this endless space that we are the only life forms? Well I think you've got another thing coming.

The question is not do aliens exist or not, the question is are unearthly life forms nearby or technologically advanced to a point where interstellar transport is possible? If the first one why haven't they been detected or why is their very little evidence of their presence? If the latter how would they detect us or find evidence of our presence?

Maybe aliens do exist, but how the hell would they find and reach us?

The wind speeds at high altitudes are extremely different to what you feel on the ground. Supposedly it wasn't a windy night as their was very little disturbance in the audio that would indicate gusts but up with the object it could easily move that distance under the influence of powerful winds. As a scale look at the guttering on the side of the house, a lantern can move the distance of half a house in the thirty seconds or so that they're watching it move easily.

For even more evidence that it's a Chinese Lantern look at how it fizzles out towards the end. Either the paper around it burnt away or the winds snuffed the flame at which point it would no longer be illuminated. Secondly, there are sounds of cars behind you friend which could be a sign he lives in a residential area where there's a larger chance people will be letting lanterns fly.

For the same reason we explore space I suppose, discover things, gain knowledge, that is if aliens do exist.

Anyway that isn't an alien UFO.
What makes people think seeing a light in the sky qualifies as an alien spacecraft anyway?

I don't believe life from other planets have evolved beyond us and are travelling around space and to Earth, or we would've seen some solid evidence by now.
Until I see something solid, a bad quality video with a small light in the sky won't change my mind

this has happened in my neighborhood before. Someone put a flashlight in a balloon and filled it with helium. It didn't look exactly like that but it was similar.

Not why. How. Granted, eventually space travel may develop to a point where interstellar travel is possible and another civilization could have reach that stage. That still leaves the question, how did they find out that we inhabited Earth?

And a balloon with a flashlight has the same attributes as a Chinese Lantern. A Chinese Lantern however explains how it disappeared at the end and why the shade of orange was constantly changing.
