I'm looking for a new computer, and eventually stumbled upon the question: Should I buy a Mac, or a PC?
All I want is a computer, preferably a laptop that can play some older disc-based games, but mainly new flash applications and such. Multitasking with music and social networking is also a plus. Fairly long battery life would help.
Anyway, onto my main problems with the computers.
My main issue with the Mac is that the models on their website are too powerful, and I'm going to end up paying for hardware I won't use. Even the MacBook has more graphics horsepower than I'll probably use.
My issue with a PC is almost fixing the problem I had with a Mac, by letting you customize your options on Dell's website. But then my problem is that with the hidden costs. They'll advertise a really good PC, and then they leave it up to you to find out that the thing they advertised was the "Ultimate" version, and the great price was on the weak-a** "Good" version. It amounts to the PC you were going to buy for $400, customized, to be closer to $600.
Anyway, any help is much appreciated. Again, if this is the wrong section, I will cry (And then ask a mod to move it). Thanks in advance, AG!
There was already a post about this earlier n they locked it. Its obvious tht the ansewr would be PC unless u want a computer for working on but if its for games choose PC it has evrything u need for playing, u jst need to buy the Grph Cards n Ram n ur off to go.
Or, perhaps not continuing at all, since it seems to be an argument no one will ever win, and is based almost solely on opinion and what you have grown up with.
