ps. how come so many people are using the fact that they are teenagers as an excuse to not work? i'm just about to turn 17, i work, my friends all work (except for one spoiled one), and at least 2/3 of the kids that are sophomores or higher in my school have jobs. it's actually pretty sweet to get your own paycheck for working hard and accomplishing something.
Indeed. I got my first "real" job when I was 16. McDonald's... oh how I loathed thee.
But really, it wasn't so bad, and I was able to use the money to buy a car and get a much better job. Whereas my friends who didn't start working until they were 18 had to settle for being pizza delivery drivers and fast food workers because they had no job experience.
One of my goals in life is to never work in retail again. Well, maybe one more time. But after that, never again.

Maybe they're under the age of 16? I'm turning 16 in like 2 weeks so I'm going to look for a job after my birthday, and after I get my permit.
My sister works at a Stop & Shop, which is like a dungeon and she's mistreated/discriminated there after being there for over a year, so that's out of the question lol.
you need to be 16 in order to legally work for a store
in my town, you can work at 15+ you just need working papers provided by your school basically saying you won't be overworked and it will not affect your academic work
