I think that you should be able to delete your own comments. That way, you would be able to take back something you said. You would have the points taken away for that comment though to prevent spamming and all that good stuff.

Okay, I've never ever ever been to a forum where you can delete your own posts.

That way, you would be able to take back something you said.

Just think before you speak.

No, personally because the delete button would be abused, and would create massive delete-ment of forum posts. And that, wouldn't be considered a good idea.

Why do you think it would be abused? You would lose the points you got, so people wouldn't have a reason to keep doing it...

Trolls often don't care about points, they care about wrecking the forums.

People could have a conversation with someone, delete their posts, and make it seem like the person +triple posted.

I just don't find it necessary, an edit button would be more fitting.

Oops, i think i over-read that part. Sorry, anyways i still think its a bad idea, why? because sometimes when you quote a comment, and you post replying that quoted comment. The user who said it, would have deleted the comment or edited, and it wouldn't make sense anymore.

Everyone would lose way to many points for the computer to keep track of, It would only benefit newbies.

No, you shouldn't be able to delete comments.
You should be able to edit them for 5 minutes after you've written them.
Then you can't edit anymore.

Well, a computer isn't a person, it does this stuff way faster than people could. Although, now I see why deleting comments could be a little confusing.

Not really. Its just 1 ap per post. So if the post is deleted, there is not much to take care of there.

I think it's a bad idea relating to forum posts, but it can be useful relating to COMMENTS, i mean games comments, because ex: you post a comment saying that the game is impossible but maybe you haven't learned how to play yet.

No, you should not be able to delete your own comments. If someone was argueing about something someone said, the person who said it would be able to change it and try to prove the accuser wrong. Plus, even though everybody thinks that their non spamming/etc. thing is fool proof. Im sure a noob will find his way around it in the long run.
