So, people now want to be "rewarded" for being able to play some pretty decent free games. The irony there is that the opportunity to experience the game for free is not reward enough.
You get AP from contributing to the site, not taking away from it. Rating, imputing feedback, posting comments and forum posts, all these will give you AP because in one way or another you're giving back to the site.
Playing the game for kicks only takes up bandwidth. This is a stupid suggestion, and you should really investigate the AP system before demanding that they change it.
