pantera is in my oppinion the best out of the heavy metal bands. pantera music is alot more influential and they are far better song writers then metallica, megadeth, slayer, and anthrax combined.

There's no way that Pantera is more influential than Metallica. I can understand that you think they're better songwriters(although i don't agree), but they certainly weren't more influential. As far as who's better, i'd rank them this way:
1- Metallica
2- Pantera
3- Slayer

well i mean metallica as a whole has influenced the industry more. but its kind like not fair because darrell died. and i think that a good majority of the lyrics metallca writes are jsut poop. i still like them but i think writing about nuclear war is jsut so....... unoriganal

Personally i think Metallica's lyrics are amazing, Hetfield is one of my favourite song writers ever, but you're entitled to your own opinion. And sure, Darrel died soon, but keep in mind that when he died Pantera had already disbanded.

HAHAH, they were all too good of bros? No. Is that why Phil wasn't allowed to attend Dimebag's funeral and why Vinnie still won't speak to him? Pantera was done for good. That's why Dimebag and Vinnie formed Damageplan and made that their main project.

The only Pantera release I still listen to is "Power Metal" after that they just started writing half-assed groove metal. Slayer's my favorite out of the three given. They've been consistently releasing good material for the past 30 years without watering-down their music.

I say Metallica is the best, but it's hard to pick between Slayer and Pantera.

Lol, and you know that how? I'm sure you must personally know them all and have had in-depth discussions with them about it.... or you're just pulling a completely asinine statement out of your ass. Yeah. I think it's that.
