Hey trivium isnt black metal, they never were. At one point they were thrash. Dragonforce plays fast music as a gimmick. SOAD is nu-metal (a fform of pussy metal) and Bullet for my valentine is metalcore, yet another type of pussy metal. Now i want you to know I AM A METAL NOOB SO REMEMBER IM ONLY TELLING YOU MY OPINION!! Go to metal-archives.com to learn about new bands and find out more about the ones you know If you like speed metal, listen to manowar and hammerfall. Dio is excellent, nice choice there. If you want, I'll list my favorite bands ACDC- Pure rock Agalloch- Folk/Dark metal Amon Amarth- Melodic Death Metal Amorphis- For their good albums, Death, For their not so good they are Progressive Ancient Rites- Viking Metal At the gates- Melodic Death Metal Behemoth- Blackened Death Metal( meaning it is death metal with black metal influences) Bolt Thrower- Death Metal Dethklok- Joke band, but good Death Metal Ensiferum- Viking Metal FinnTroll- Folk Metal Iron Maiden- Heavy Metal Megadeth- Thrash Slayer- Thrash Wintersun- Melodic Death Metal those are my favorite, check them out, theyre pretty good.

Go ahead, and if you have a facebook join the metalheads group, they can teach you much more than I can. And just keep in mind, the heavier stuff is an aquired taste. Your probably not going to like it right away.

dude....raigeki i think ur just trying to get a reaction out of me. If you are a boy you are a flaming homo. No excuse, all those bands create an image that appeals to tween girls. That list is honestly so pathetic for many reasonsa, but especially because I've seen so many like it here. There are just too many people listening to linkin park and mcr.....i cant stand it.....I need to find more metalheads on this site....

raigeki, you have one the WORST tastes in music I've ever seen. I bet your a teen. Are you? I'm almost 100% sure, 'cause nowadays practically every brainless trend-freak teen has such a horrible taste in music.
It's estimated that about only 6% of today's youth likes GOOD music. I guess I'm part of those 6%, seeing I like REAL music, from bands like Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Pantera, Anthrax, Dire Straits, Queen, Kiss, etc.

ALL I listen to is METAL. I'm a headbanger! So all of you that don't listen to Rock/Metal suck. Like JMV said, it's true. Most people now listen to shit.. (You can't spell crap without rap.)
