I personally don't see any differance! If someone could explain, then I could see why ther's a big debate, but at the moment they both seem like a normal DVD
Both HD DVD and Blu-ray discs store much more data than DVD discs. But, HD DVD can store up to 15GB per layer with Blu-ray leading at 25GB per layer. Blu ray is also much more expensive in every aspect from production to buying to the player.
So, I think blu ray will win out eventually because they will find a cheaper way to make it.
Yes, I think that Blu-ray will end up winning, since they just got a bunch of the larger production companies to come over to their side. I was hoping HD would win, but doesn't look like it is going to happen.
Who else is shocked that Blu-ray might take over? Sony always tends to lose these races! Of course, there still is time.
Oh, I am shocked, too! When I heard they were putting the Blu Ray into PS3 I was like, those fools! It will never take off, then BAM! Luckily they make dual blu-ray and hd players.
okay, I'm with Blu-Ray now, I see they're much better but can't tell the difference like the High Def stuff, they all look the same but since it stores more, I'm guessing it's better
I can definitely tell the difference in regular DVD and high definition. This is only because I have my HDTV in the living room and regular TVs in the rest of my apartment.
Though, I will never give in and buy a playstation.
