I only owned the original game which only had 2 factions, The Wehrmacht and the Americans. My favourite team used to be the Americans with the Airborne tree, because you could constantly molest the other team's Infantry with Recon plane-Strafe combo (been a while since I played the game so most likely the insane damage the strafe does has been nerfed). I havent played online much when the game was on my comp(still got the cd) with about 30+ MP games, but still had a Low W/L ratio (those freaking brits man).
When not abusing the Commander Abils, I usually sticked to Infantry/Infantry Support(perhaps why I had a low W/L). Due to my playstyle I couldn't survive tank rushes or heavy bombardment(I used to blob my units alot at control points) I sticked to 1v1 ranked matches, got up to level 9 for the Wehrmacht, level 6 for the Americans.
PS: Most of my Losses were because I sticked to infantry and never built any tanks/anti tank units. There was this odd thing that happened online when my AT unit got oneshot by a British "shotgun" tank.
You'll be able to find strategy guides online that pretty much tell you how to build-up base, which points to grab and how to counter the other side. Also, you will learn what the term "micro" means.
no it is completly different from the other games they are not linked at all, hence the 9 gig download even tho i have all the games, its not bad for a beta but 9 gig i would rather go play the original.
