SA has quickly become one of my favorite bands. They're finnish and the most well known bands they tour with are Nightwish and Stratovarius (2 of my other favorties (both finnish)) ;-)

Yes! They were the very first metal band I listened to, I can still remember the very first song: Black Sheep. Never listened to metal before, but I was overwhelmed by this song and had to listen to more. I think Unia has been their worst album, it's not really bad but it's not quite Sonata Arctica. They caught up a bit with their latest album. To summarize: I love this band!
I know unia isn't the typical SA material but it had a few great songs. I bought the album as soon as i found out Caleb went with Don't Say a Word, The End of this Chapter, and Juliet... but under your tree, paid in full, in black and white, and the vice are all great... i guess i'm a lil different since i got most of my SA stuff starting w/ For The Sake of Revenge and then Last Amazing Grays, Reckoning Night, and Unia.... had to order Ecliptica, Silence, and Winterheart's Guild from like south Korea..... i was getting those albums one way or another lol
You quite started the other way 'round.. first few songs, after Black Sheep, that I listened to were Full Moon, Kingdom for a Heart, My Land.. So basically songs from Ecliptica. Then I got all other songs and albums before Unia came out. Then Unia came out. And then Last Amazing Grays. That's about how it were for me. Of course Unia has great songs, it's just unusually dark for SA. Last Amazing Grays is less dark but a bit more crazy/weird, it's hard to describe. I just hope they don't distance theirselves too much from their original style
