If I have to be drug tested to get a new job. If I have to be drug tested to Keep my job. If I have toe be drug tested if I get hurt one the job. Then why don't people on disability or welfare or any other kind of state funding/supplementation get drug tested? Any thoughts?
I agree with you there, however your proposition would not eliminate people abusing the system, although it may reduce it. However it would also reduce the benefit for those who actually need the assistance and use it properly.
I think that the system we have in place is about as good as it gets, however I do think that there need to be more strict background checks and information sharing between agencies to reduce the people getting benefits who don't truly qualify, and to keep people who are not in the country legally from acquiring benefits.
