I'm not sure if the new mini series of Sherlock Holmes was played anywhere other than Britain but I'm wondering what the community feels is the better of the two: the new TV series or the new film?
You guys should really try to get hold of the mini-series. If you liked the film, you'll love the series!
The one playing Sherlock looks a bit odd at first, but I grew to love him. Just like I grew to love Matt Smith, David Tennant and even Ecclestone before them.
Yep - the new Sherlock Holmes miniseries is perhaps one of the best adaptations of the books (or at least the characters in them) ever. It is built of genius, plot-lines and sheer WIN.
I read a Sherlock Holmes story once, and the character of the movie in the advertisements doesn't match at all the image I have of him now. So I won't watch the movie.
The movie is pretty phenomenal. Robert Downey Jr. truly fulfilled the part of Sherlock Holmes. And don't say "You don't know what you're talking about", because I do. I've read every Sherlock Holmes fragment that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle has to offer.
I enjoyed the film even though i really haven't read anything about him or all that. I only knew he was a really good detective. Is there going to be a sequel to the first movie?
Wasn't the movie released almost a year ago? I liked it. I haven't read the books because I haven't been able to find any until my friend got one from the library and I'll be checking one out soon. I'm going to watch the mini series and see how that's like. But the movie was great.
@HahiHa, that shouldn't stop you from seeing the film, or better yet the series!
I had a quick look at the link you provided, it indeed looks promising (head in the fridge :P). But I don't know, the movie ads didn't strike me as something extraordinary. But I'll keep it as a valid alternative if I'm to be going to the movies again anytime soon.
