The United States is on the brink of closing a very big weapons contract with Saudi Arabia. One of the biggest contracts ever assembled. This contract is worth over $60B. Does anyone else find this weird? Is it just about money seeing this is one of US greatest exports? Or is there a hidden agenda? Let me know what you think!

Oh boy... so its in the faces of people and still they get annoyed at "our boys" being killed in other countries.

Where will these weapons go after they are sold?

I agree Paradoxy, Im not sure why people would be surprised as this kind of thing has been happening for the whole of human history (sometimes involving selling humans instead)

it's just one of the first time you kids have heard about it.

Precisely.

Not a hidden agenda at all. The US has a long history of exporting high-tech military hardware to her allies, and Saudi in particular. It's just business as usual, it's just one of the first time you kids have heard about it.

Didn't the bush dynasty even use to sell weapons to Osama Bin Laden before they got into conflict?

Not to sure about that, but I think the CIA gave weapons to the Taliban to fight the USSR invasion, these weapons are being used against America today, just a little bit ironic.

Something like that. It's ironic indeed, but hey, they were able to sell weapons. That's all that counts to weapon manufacturers.

This has been in the works all summer and not a conspiracy according to The WSJournal, Washington Post and my local ABC affiliate. Since the OP offered the link to The WSJ and I was able to archive from that page I didn't see the need to double post it here. The Washington Post is funny about subscriptions so you'll have to log on its site yourself.
The only countries playing the conspiracy game are still Iran and N.Korea, big surprise. Iran has introduced its latest war toy, a 12 ft long drone that the US military says it needs satellite links and high tech computers to allow for long-range capabilities, info is taken from The Washington Post articles.
According to another WP (archive) article, Iran has supplied Syria with Radar, ooooh!

All of this posturing is because of the on-going back and forth threats between Iran and Israel.

As I said, earlier this morning to a friends messenger, I hate it when humans are used as pawns for opposing countries political agendas. It reminds me of the dark ages when one castle would toss the peasants over the walls. "No not the healthy one, you dolt, toss the diseased one." I'm talking about the 3 Americans who were hiking last year in Northern Iraq and crossed into Iran. Iran's been holding them ever since and says they have evidence they were spying. This morning, they released the woman Ms. Shourd, awaiting $500k bail payment. She's battling cancer and hasn't been treated the entire time she was incarcerated.

Me and Avorne already presented the facts of how it is indeed a conspiracy.

No, Holt, you and Avorne merely stated your opinions.
I'm listing the facts, based on the OP's selection of site, (WSJ)!
WSJ= The Wall Street Journal

I'm not arguing this because I'm not in the mood for childish bickering over which ones of us actually research data for factual, educated and intelligent responses.

But the media tarred Osama, the Taliban and Saddam with the same "terrorist" brush.

They have always been selling weapons. This is really "business as usual" no conspiracy or lies or anything. Its just normal day to day business from the arms dealers. And to think that these arms dealers are not in contact with USA and Iraq and Russia and UK etc would be crazy. Humans are human, there are no flags, your country cares not for you. They buy and sell based on profit and image. If a company can get away with it whilst making profits and keeping status, 9/10 they will.
