not enough gamesw in that sec mainily by coolionatio if that does come it'll come in ag 2.0. if you really want it tell the adminastrators of ag if there's enough games maybe they'll do art/music or something.
Didn't we used to have a "Lifestyle" section? Or something to that effect. Either way, we had an old section that had games like that in it and some others. Anyway, it was taken down. I assume, because it was redundant, or useless to separate those out.
Every game has a different art style to it, so nearly all games would go in there xP I see what you mean though, but I doubt they will implement that in AG3.0.
But I really like Edfred's idea. ): It's nice to sort out standard games (which, yes, could be considered 'art' -- I believe most any creation to be that), from 'artsy' games.
What about 'independent' or 'alternative'?
Some examples might be Aether, Loved or Coma. Yes, there's certainly and element of puzzle-solving involved in all of them, but I think they deserve another category. Again, maybe there aren't enough games for that, or they're too indistinguishable, but I'd personally love to see that.
If the site did that, the game developers would have to recategorize their games if they felt it belongeg in that category, and there aren't a whole lot of those games. There might be 4 pages tops.
AG3 will have similar categories for the games, but we're also looking at a "tag" system, so we can tag games as "multiplayer" or "music-related" or some such.
I'm not sure we'd open it up for users to tag games themselves, or if we'd flag them internally ourselves, but we're looking for a way to search for games based on the tag system. Someone else had asked for a category for "multiplayer" games, but since there aren't many of them yet, we'd just use a tag for them, and let people search based on the tag names.
This won't happen for AG2 (this web site), but it's in the plan for AG3.
