I wrote a new browser addon to play flash games full screen. It works by switching the screen resolution automatically, so this keep the games fast even on not super powerful pc and graphic heavy games.
It's for IE, Firefox and Chrome and I called it SwiffOut. It's freeware and you can get it here : http://swiffout.com
lllllllllllllllllll : could you be a little more specific ? Here is what you should get when you install it : - install - welcome page (at that point restart your browser to load the addons ) - go to some game page - click the blue button. A authorisation for the protocol swiffout should appears, simultaneously the addon should navigate to the temporary page to hide the game. When you agree with the authorisation a window with the game of dimension similar to the game in the browser should popup. - click the maximize button of the window with the game to go full screen (you can remove this step by right clicking the game and check 'start fullscreen' )
Blackwolves990 : some sites have game width set to 100% size and this doesn't work at this moment but this is not the case of armorgames as far as I know.
Try some games on http://swiffoutgames.com if it doesn't work and tell me if this is ok. The site is integrated with swiffout and it may work even if the addon doesn't.
I fixed the size issue. The detection is now native (I read the flash file format ) and should always work.
I will try to publish the autonomous extension for IE and Firefox, but IE and Firefox extension are harder to make... You can still get the all in one package at http://swiffout.com (which contains IE and Firefox support )
I added the extension to google and mozilla store. It should work more seamlessly now. If you had previously installed the setup version (the .exe) you can now get rid of it and just install the autonomous version, it's better as they can autoupdate.
Don't forget to add a comment and to vote if you like them. It helps others to find them.
@graham : it's not just about growing the swf, some games doesn't work that way and speed can be horrible. Here is my blog post about it http://grownsoftware.com/blog/the-true-face-of-flash-games
