Admittedly these guys only handle the marketing side of things, but any publisher who owns both Bethesda Game Studios and id Software are epic.
My favourite video game developer, formerly, was Epic Games and they should, arguably, retain that position. However, with Unreal Tournament III and the Gears of War series their shooters became far too "consolised" and Gears of War going to 360 was a stab in the back to long-term fans whom played on PC.

Yeah. They're awesome. There games are always so quirky and inventive.
Rockstar, creators of Grand Theft Auto, Bully, Red Dead Redemption, and many other games is the best. No use listing out facts, just play Red Dead or GTA IV and you will understand.Also Bungie of course, the Halo series is fantastic. Sadly Bungie has parted with Halo, but concluded their time with halo by creating Reach, which is fabulous. Epic Games is great too.
I am among bungies legion of fans that spread bungies power all over the place so Bungie is my favorite. You may have heard of these "Halo Games" they made.
Ubisoft and Ninja Theory. Ninja Theory have only made 2 games: Heavenly sword and Enslaved Odyssey to the west. Their games have really good graphics and voice acting in them and they spend a lot of time on the games which i respect.
Hard decision. Rockstar Games: They have made awesome games like Red Dead Redemption, GTA, and Agent. GTA IV has the best graphic's in the world (According to The Guinness Book of World Records) Ubisoft: They have made BattleField Heros (a PC game), Rayman raving rabbits, and alot of games. I hear there next game is like Four Point Eight or something. Valve: Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 is awesome, and Team Fortress 2, Portal, Half-life 1 and 2, GMOD are so epic. Namco: Unstoppable. Microsoft: XBOX is epicBOX. They have got to win as one of the best.
