I'll begin with the first farms. In the beginning, all the adult people in a certain tribe had to work constantly to find or grow food. With the invention of certain tools that help to bring more food to the tribe or make the process be faster/less tiring. These tools could easily be made by the farmers themselves. This created more free time fro the people, and the farmers gave a little bit of their free time to a few people, that worked on other things than the others did, for example chopping trees, making houses from stone, making metal, ect. Some of the things were near impossible for a farmer to do, especially with his tight schedule. These jobs made work for the farmers easier. For example, the introduction of iron tools. This, in turn, made more free time, which was in turn gives to some people, that made better tools, that made farming easier, making more free time, ect. Now, instead for for each family unit that works in agriculture making barely enough food for themselves, they make food for tens, if not hundreds of people.

I really don't see how this is YOUR theory considering this is perhaps the most widely accepted theory on how civilizations came about.

I am sorry if the theory has been already pointed out. I assure you that I do not remember reading anything resembling this anywhere. All what I have written, is, as far as I know (because maybe I forgot reading about it but my unconsciousness did remember) entirely from my own head.

Meh, it is indeed the most widely accepted theory in the 'dawn' of civilization - or so I learned in Sociology.

The truth is boring! What if a deity (and let me point out first I do not believe in god, but in movies like 'bruce almighty' god is a fantastic character to use for such things gods do), god i.e., were to create civilization. You can't expect mankind to do it itself. So first, you are a god, I think some bald guy with a long beard should do. Then you tell the story of how civilization came to be. So you take a person and put him on the earth. And he does nothing 'cause he doesn't know what to do. So you give him an object (a plow or something, and seeds). And he still won't do anything because he'll get a cloud above his head with food. And he still won't do anything because he's tired. So you give him a bed. But he won't sleep 'cause he doesn't have a house. Then you kill him and you'll want to start all over again. And when you get to the killing again you give him a house instead. And he won't sleep 'cause he's alone. So you show him his wife. He kills his wife with the plow 'cause he doesn't like her. So you have no-one to populate the earth. So you take another rib from the man and make him a beautiful women. And the women seduces the man then kills him for being ugly. So you make another man and finally they go to bed, but when they get up they are hungry and want breakfast, so you think: This is the last thing I'll give them, then they'll work. So after breakfast they demand clothes. You refuse so they kill themselves. So you start over and do all the above and give them clothes then put them to work. And they say: How do we do this. So you show them and it's all done. Then you think: That's enough. I'll just populate the damn thing myself, although you could continue giving them what they want, but you've had it and create civilization.

The truth is boring!

And thus religion was created...

"Science is questions that may never be answered, religion is answers that may never be questioned" I'm not 100% that its relevant but I just felt like I could slip it in here.

You're so smart, I decided to make my own theory.

My theory is this: If you stop breathing, you die. I'm pretty sure this is my theory 'cus I don't remember reading about this anywhere. I haven't confirmed it yet because, as I said, it's still just a theory, but if you would be willing to test it for me I'd appreciate it.

Thanks, bye.

PS: I'm sorry if this sounded rude or even mean, that was my intention.

My theory, a theory which is mine, which in no way is widely accepted or anything, and is not just a rewording of one of the most widely-accepted theories ever that I just regurgitated out of nowhere, is about the brontosaurus. I believe that it is thin on the end, gets nice 'n fat in the middle, then thins out again when it goes to the other end. Amirite?
