I can find: the torch and use it the ladder and use it the parchment, what is this good for? the salty water and the pot and combine the salty water and the pot but what is this used for? the lever and use it but now what? the holy water but can't use it the stake and I know I have to wait to use that
I usually good at these escape games but this one has me stumped! Is anyone else having problems or is it just me?

Put it over the fireplace in the house to produce salt.

Go to the river; it should be overflowing. Find a little gap on the left side and enter. From there, just follow the path and use items accordingly until you beat the game.
Thanks, BeastMode, I just consulted the walkthrough. O_o Which meant I was bypassing the black smudge found inside of the chimney. I don't know how many times I've tried to put the pot of salty water on the hook in the fireplace but just now it worked fine. >.< Now, of course I feel silly for having posted this thread but I always feel as if I'm cheating when I use the walkthrough. -_- You know, a measure of last resort?
