What will games of the future be like? I hope they have things where it's like you're actually there. Predict 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, and finally 100 years. Ex. 1.3-D games 2.Virtual reality games available in "theaters" 3.Simulator games available to the public 4.Simulator games where other people can be there with you a little like xbox Live 3.
I'm hoping for a joint network of virtual reality gaming based upon neural impulses. Basically you are the character for the time that you play them game.

That reminds me of .hack in a sense.
1.3-D games
That is actually already happening within the next year or two. Apparently Killzone 3 is supposed to be a 3D game for instance.
2.Virtual reality games available in "theaters"
If the arcade doesn't die out before that happens, then I will simply note that I can see that happening as there are already tons of virtual reality games in arcades already(just not to the point where they actually feel like reality yet though)
As for my own predictions I will say that as generation Y and Z take over things like gaming may end up becoming even greater social mediums then before and possibly a much larger part of culture then they are now(such as the mainstream media covering the latest popular game releases and such), but outside of the obvious, we may not know what is truly in store for gaming 20, or 30 years from now, and especially not 100. The thing is that some things are a bit harder to predict then others. If someone were asked 100 years ago what kids would be doing 100 years later for entertainment, do you think they would guess that it had something to do with playing games with people possibly across the world via something called a computer, and a television(which on its own didn't really become commercially available till the 1920's might I add). I suppose I'm getting off track here, but my point is that I don't think no matter what we hypothesize that we could possibly guess what the future truly holds for video games, heck video games in itself could be replaced by some other medium 100 years from now for all we know.
For the most part you could say it is, but some arcades are still around in some movie theaters and theme parks, and are doing ok as a place to kill time for whatever reason.
I love arcades.. *inserts coin* They aren't really dead in some places, but mostly they are.
As for video games, it's hard to make predictions. Eventually, the video games we have will probably evolve into something greater than a game, as Crimson said. I expect some more forays into control via the brain and a much higher degree of interactivity. Let's just keep it simple.

It could be like in that show Caprica Where they had these headbands you put on that put you in a virtual reality dream state.
