First off, this game is easy, though it's harder than the first. There's still times where all my teammates flee and I'm left standing against a horde of zombies. That's epic.

Anyway, the first thing to note is that you can pick which places to loot when you're searching. Houses sometimes have people. Anything with a gun icon is likely to have a weapon you'll want.

The thing to keep in mind is that you're not really in a rush. I just went exploring and hit every place on the map and still made it with 3 days to spare. Lay around, gather extra supplies, find extra survivors, and don't worry.

Gathering extra supplies means that if you get in trouble farther down the road, you don't have to go through as many fights in the harder areas because you've already got the supplies to move on.

The best path to take is Claysburg -> Aspenwood -> Jonestown -> Union City. There's no real need to go to Fort Tran, it's mainly just a way to get out of Jonestown in a hurry if you don't have the supplies to visit Union City.

That said, VISIT FORT TRAN ANYWAY. It has the most awesometastical weapons you've ever seen. There's the m249 machine gun which is like the uzi only with 200 rounds. There's also the RPG. That's right, a rocket launcher. It has a slow reload time, but who cares. When a whole group of zombies runs toward you, you can take them out with one or two shots. Then, hit the stragglers with your m249. You probably won't even have to reload the second gun. True, you only need these guns to kill the zombies that you could have avoided in the first place but so what? It's fun. Those who still complain need to look up the definition of the term "game."

Notes on the placement of mines: Bear traps don't do a whole lot. Gas can are awesome if they go off at the right time, but since they usually get hit in the crossfire they're not all that or a bag of chips. Trip mines are the best. No matter what, save all your mines for Jonestown, because that's when you need them. What about Fort Tran? You won't need them because that place is weapons heaven (or zombie hell).

Personally, my favorite weapon to use in the first few cities was the standard handgun. Why? It had good damage, was pretty accurate, had a fast reloading time, and had 17 rounds per magazine. It could knock out zombies pretty quickly, and if you missed a head shot, you could adjust on the fly. 4 shot kill for the dogs, and about 5-9 shot kill for the human zombies. It also had the fastest reloading time of any gun.

- the .357 Magnum was powerful and accurate for head shots, but it had only 6 bullets and took forever to reload.
- The compound bow was powerful and and had the so called "virtually no reloading time". It was pretty accurate for head shots, but if you missed the zombie's head, you found the "virtually no reloading time" to be not as cracked up as it seemed before. The reloading time was slow enough to hinder you in the later cities.
- The chainsaw was better in the first game because that weapon truly had "virtually no reloading time". The chainsaw in this game was still awesome, but it took forever to reload. Trying to use it while reloading would slow the reloading process. Like the bow, this hindered you in the later cities.
- The Uzi is not as powerful as the handgun, and its accuracy leaves a lot to be desired. Head shots are difficult, especially at a distance. It had a much larger magazine, but coupled with lower accuracy and less power than the handgun, it was less effective than the handgun. In addition, its reloading time was somewhat slower than the handgun.
- I used the UMP45 a while ago, and forgot what it did. I remembered it to be more accurate and powerful than the UZI, but only had a 25 round magazine. It was probably as powerful as the handgun and maybe a bit more accurate, but its reloading time was slower than the handgun and its magazine was not much bigger than the handgun's magazine.
- the shotguns and rifles were pretty useless for your use because of their limited rounds and their slow reloading time; best reserved for the other survivors if you don't have enough automatic weapons.
- I never used the assault rifles. I got the AK47 in the earlier, glitchier version of the game, but I was invisible when I equipped it. And judging by what others have said, it's sort of a more accurate, slightly more powerful UZI with much slower reloading time. Best reserved for the other survivors.

I had trouble beating the game before with the other weapons. Of course, I was playing the glitchier version before, so either I disappeared around Jonestown and had to start over, or only half of the survivors were shooting and the other half were just sitting there. I used the bow and chainsaw combo in the current version, and I died. I found the handgun to be the best weapon because its advantages. Also, remember to save your traps for the later cities, like Jonestown.

The only weapon to replace the handgun was the M249 Machine Gun. Awesome power and a huge number of rounds per magazine. Simply unstoppable. It has a really long reloading time, but your survivors should have already have gotten the automatic weapons by now, so you have a bit of a cushion. Traps are completely unnecessary with this bad boy. Too bad it's only there at the end.

If you like the uzi or the other obe like the uzi go to the town to the right if you want a shotgun and compund bow with no reload time go up My favorite is the 200 round machine gun you get at the end of course save the traps best to use at the end bear traps bad gas traps good but dont put them close together or they all explode land mine the best the 357 revolver is a slow reload weapon i would use it as backup and handgun main becaz it has a fast reload and the revolver takes a while to reload and if you dont hit them in the head it takes 3 to 4 shots head 2 to 3 so use the handgun by the way best gmae yet on armor games

I actually liked the bow a lot. It was pretty darn accurate, with a very low reload time. I say it was better than the handgun. Many a zombie hath fallen from a shaft to the cerebrum. The handgun has its advantages, but it's not nearly as fun to use. The compound bow also does more damage. Personally, the chainsaw is the best secondary weapon. I tried the grenade, I always lost. Mini + RPG is quite possibly the best combo ever.
