I really hope that it is not the final Halo game in the entire series. It's only been recently that they have revisited the game and given some spin offs (such as Halo Wars) and additional games to the excellent series. I think Halo is great and the storyline is quite interesting.
Bungie say they are going to stop any more Halo games but I'm sure they'll come up with some other similar titles like the Halo series. I do hope in the future that they reconsider and continue making Halo games, even though this maybe quite unlikely.
Halo Reach is the last game BUNGIE is making. THERE WILL BE MORE HALO GAMES Bungie sold the rights to 343 Industries and 343 will start making halo instead of bungie. Although most believe that the halo games won't be as good comparred to bungie. Bungie is now developing a new game that everything you do will affect the world around you nothing else is known about it though. it is also unknown what storyline 343 will put in the Halo universe so we will have to wait and see and play Reach.
there is already a movie but it isn't live action, its in a anime style if i remember correctly

but there is going to be a real halo movie they say its costing billions of dollers because of building the props. They really built a real warthog. and spartan also marine armor but little is still unknown they say it should be ready by 2012
