So, It seems to me every time I have a test coming up, or a project due, I have MANY test and projects do, either the same day, or one day apart. I don't get it, it isn't just once in a while, it ALWAYS happens!

I'm not sure how this happens, unless they plan it, or is this just chance kicking me i nthe stomach?

Fridays for tests, Mondays/Fridays for projects.

It's usually in a beginning/ending of a week for me.

When I was in high school we weren't supposed to have more than two tests per week, and if we did, someone would just protest and the teacher who was last to set the date would have to change to the next week or something.

or is this just chance kicking me i nthe stomach?

It's not a conspiracy or anything. Teachers want you to get good grade, either because they care about your education, or because they don't want to look incompetent. Either way, a teacher would not benefit from what you're suggesting.

I think it's just that there are certain times when it makes sense to have a test--like midterms, for example, are all going to take place at once, or you may have many projects scheduled for a three-day weekend. It's just the way things are.

Typically it's planned, both to allow the students proper time to prepare (hence tests on fridays after a week of study, and projects typically on mondays after a full weekend to work on it) and also to allow the teacher the proper time away from the classroom to grade, organize, and post information relevant to the subject. Simply put, it's a result of time management techniques in most cases.

I had a science teacher who wanted everyone to get a C average. If someone got a higher grade he would increase the difficulty of the work he gave that person until they were making a C again.

The teachers are just trying to make us fail so that they would yell at us so that we would be shamed into never coming out of our homes.

Not really.

Teachers that teach the same subject usually end the unit at the same time unless you're comparing AP to academic. If you compared all different subjects, for me none of the tests are on the same day. Only occasionally there will be 5 tests in one day.

Agreed.

It seems that if the school year is broken up into quarters, then you are going to end up with your tests for each subject being given around the same time. All the classes start at the same time and you pretty much go through the material linearly at a similar rate in all the classes. SO being given test at the similar times, although annoying, is going to happen often.

Most teachers have certain times of the year they give projects, they plan these out close to the beginning or middle of a quarter or semester. They do this usually to maximize the amount of time they have to grade and the students have to work. Problem is the higher we get in education, the harder it gets to schedule project time in along with homework so it seems like everything's piling up.

Yes they're out to get you. Didn't you know that?

-_-' *sighs* they have set times where they're supposed to give things out. And yes it usually happens at once because that's how the cirriculum works. This is life. Deal with it.

Indeed...take, for example, a few weeks ago. I had a major science test just one day before a major history test(I aced them both, by the way). Even so, it's like they coordinate their evil plans...
All I can say is, watch out for Thursday. That's usually when it tends to happen.

sometimes i really wish they wouldn't... and it always tends to be those weeks where i am either incredibly ticked or otherwise 'out of it' when i have the most projects due...

And Wednesday, they love to pile stuff on in the middle of the week.
