yo again people. just wanted to know what you think of the new medal of honor game ( the modern warfare one ). Do you think it was a major let down ? or do you think it lived up to its expectations ?
Well I havent seen any of the fan boys making posts so that cant be good. I paid for what i expected, the MOH series have never had good story lines, they all lack depth. This MOH has a bit hard to follow in the campaign you were thrown around with different characters all the time and the only really story line was that you are in the ARMY, they used quotes from great tv shows and films but it just felt to cheasy. The muiliplayer is just like BFBC2 but not as big and more personal, this MOH game has the best snipeing i have ever seen in any games, even though the bullet doesnt drop. The weapon unlocks are crap and it just seems like they havent put any effort into the guns, its not to bad over all if you like EA, but if you don't, then don't expect anything else then there usually crap.
I didn't actually purchase it. That was because the beta was a let down. I never actually got to the controls with single player, but I haven't heard anything great about it, personally I'd prefer an interesting storyline over an obsessive narrative on the hardships and trauma a soldier faces during combat situations.
The multiplayer wasn't at all bad, it felt generally realistic and the only thing that ruined the experience for me was how spontaneous the weapons were. I could shoot two different people in the chest and sometimes it would take a short burst of bullets other times I was raining down with entire magazines to get the kill.
That unpredictable randomness in gun damage also strongly influenced camping culture. I could never safely charge in and slaughter people, guaranteeing an easy path through. Instead what I prepared my tent and defended a rooftop for the entire match. Whilst that's perfectly fine in a real war it was not an entertaining playstyle. The fact that I was limited to camping just hurt the multiplayer more.
It wasn't a major let down as such but I'd certainly have to be in a pretty masochistic mood to bother with it.
wow. thanks for the in depth reviews guys ! verry grateful. i was thinking of purchasing the game. but after the same review from all you pros i think ill give it a miss. thanks people !
Its sad to say, that in the full game you must take advantage of the run n' gunners who play MW2 excessively. You find a nice spot with cover from the Over Powered snipers, and the Run N' Gunners keep coming in and you keep killing them.
The campaign controls are very similar to the multiplayer, but they added prone, and peak and lean. Leave it to DICE to make the single player more fun.
As I said snipers are given too much of an advantage in the game. Tiny maps, high powered scopes, full overview of each spawn, over powered weapons, and the idiotic run n' gunners. The lack of an actual cover system also doesn't help it out.
You can over power an already over power M60 machine gun with, Combat Scopes, and open tipped ammo. 2 or 3 hit kills. The shotguns are almost a guaranteed kill at medium rang if you hit the upper body.
Grenades are under powered whereas your tube launched grenade (40 millimeter) is over powered. Same goes with the RPG.
ah well..... I'm sad. I wanted this to be a good game... but apparantly it wasnt. damn the world. ima still get it... for sheer hope it's somewhat good.
