This happens to me all the time. I'm typing on my laptop and my thumb will swipe across the touchpad. It causes the cursor to move backward into what I was typing and I end up inserting my sentence in the middle of my last sentence. Something this:
"This happens totypingon my all the time."
Oddly, this has trained me to left my wrists and thumb up when typing.
I had no problem typing on my laptop, but I did have a problem with the touch pad. Touch pad + gaming = fail So I bought a mouse and disabled the touch pad.
Plus I love the touchpad's double tap to click ability
I like this ability to. It's like a silent ninja click.
Also both my thumbs rest on the space button, don't know bout yours >.>
On my laptop if both the tips of my thumbs are resting on the spacebar part of my thumb will be over the touchpad. My palm seems to swipe it too.
I know, right! That happens alot to me too, and I thought it was just the website doing that.
I thought my laptop had a virus the first few times I it happened to me. Then I realized it was the touchpad. I'm glad to know it wasn't just happening to me (because then I would have to wonder if I really did have a virus on my laptop).
Well now that I got my new computer now I know what you mean. Part of your hand touches the trackpad and it moves and maybe clicks. On my old laptop the trackpad was lowered below the keyboard so it was like a ditch.
I'm on my tiny netbook at the moment, it's so small I don't use my thumbs at all. Maybe it's 'cause I'm lying down and it is rather uncomfortable for my wrists, but this is crap >_>
I find typing on an iPhone extremely easy, with 2 fingers or 1 index and 1 thumb works great
