A young man from the capital city Nanjing named Lee was ordered by the Emperor to investigate about a murder of a royal family member called Ronald that lived in the town of Wuchang. It was known to all that the murdered person was kind and lived a quiet normal life despite his ranks and fame surrounding him.
His younger brother Alex and his wife Regina, no one to turn to had ask for the help of the emperor to solve the case. When Ronald was murdered the authorities found marks in his hands and feet as if they are bound tightly by a rope as if he was tortured and had slit on his neck with a sharp razor.
When Lee arrived he asks for the event that happened before Ronald was found dead. The two relatives complied. Alex was sleeping in his room while Regina was on bed waiting for Ronald to sleep. Regina continues that Ronald had been acting weird the last few days always drunk and wants to be alone all the time something that the cheerful Ronald would not normally do. Worried that her husband is drinking again she went to their dining room and was shock to find Ronald was covered in his own blood, Regina shouted for help that waken up Alex and who was frozen when he sees his brother. They immediately thought of bringing Ronald into a hospital but they already know they are too late he was already dead they knew it.
In the house there are only four other person that night Regina, Alex and two of their servants all of which very close to Ronald and have no reason to kill him. If the killer would have come from the outside then how did the marks on his hands and feet had occurred? It was clearly Ronald was tortured. For Lee it just doesn't add up, tortured in his own home without no one knowing? He knew a great mystery lies ahead of him.
When Lee ask for the servants they said the they had nothing to do with the murder, they had just finished their daily task that night and even saw Ronald drinking alone in the dining room. Regina, Alex and the two servants also added that one day before Ronald died, a third servant whom Ronald trusted the most was missing and haven't returned until now.
The next day Lee asks for Regina and Alex to come over to his hotel to gather more information. He notice when speaking to Regina that there are some bruises in her arms upon investigating further they are shocked that, the marks in Ronald's body and Regina's mark are quite similar. Upon asking Regina on where she got the bruises she says that she doesn't know. Alex and Regina went home after that. Lee was left puzzled.
A few hours later Lee was asked to go to Regina's house immediately. When he arrived he saw some people burning something when he went to see Regina she told him that those burning are the two servants. They were killed. She added that they also have bruises unto them. Furthermore the town's older men says that the murders are done by a ghost whom they believe had died of torture and now killing people the same way as he was killed.
Fearing for Regina and Alex's safety Lee urge them to stay in safe place for a while away from their house. But Regina a laugh at the idea of ghost killing his husband as she does not believe them who also added that if it did really killed Ronald then she would like to get even. Alex who was concerned about Regina's safety also decided to stay to look after her.
On his way back to his hotel on a horse as Lee is passing a forest he saw an image of a man. Asking for the man identity as he get off his horse he was shocked to what he sees a man in pale zombie like face with a slit on his throat he was frozen in fear as his horse ran away. The ghost looks like trying to say something to him but everytime he does blood rushes out of the ghost neck and then the ghost walk into a forest. Like a possessed man Lee's feet started walking toward the place where the ghost went, he did not want to but he cant seem to stop. It lead him to a cliff and then in a second the ghost vanish. Convince the ghost lead him to that place Lee went over to see. He was shocked!
Lee could not believe what he is seeing. Thousands!! No hundred of thousands of Wanli troops below. Fear of ghost was replaced by the fear of the destruction of his beloved Hongwu. Lee ran towards the Marshall camp when he stumbled into something. A persons body lying on the side of the road same face as the ghost he saw in the forest. At that moment Lee understand what truly is happening. And that he must go to the Marshall's camp immediately.
Back at the house Regina drinking a bottle of whiskey hoping the killer ghost would show up so that she can get even. No ghost arrive but Alex with a razor in his hand did. Regina confuse at first but anger overcome her emotion. Alex said that Ronald was a coward, pathetic, and a useless man. He told her that he would been an emperor if he only wanted to but never did something about it. He said Wanli's king ask him for help to invade Hongwu. Seeking a chance to become powerful he said that he knew a place that Wanli's troops can enter Wuchang without being seen. He added that the place is still considered as Ronald's state and no one comes there. He said his plan is perfect until Ronald figure everything out. He said that he convinced Ronald to join with him. Reluctantly and with a sad face Ronald walk away. Alex was not bothered he knew his brother would never turn him in. Ronald began drinking and moving away from people. Alex knew Ronald wont be a problem until one night Alex overheard Ronald and his servant about going to the Marshall camp. He knew what this means he ambushed the servant and tortured him to what Ronald is planning but he never said anything. He eventually killed him when he slashed his neck with his razor. Maddened by the fact that his brother might have told Regina and the other servants he planned to kill them all.
Sick by the words she heard Regina stabbed Alex by a knife but he shielded himself with his hands. While also Cutting Regina's hand with his razor. He began choking Regina, she reach out for the bottle of the whiskey that she is drinking and smashed it into Alex head. Regina run outside the house begging for help. Alex who now is enrage running after her and in minutes was able to caught with her.
Then an arrow out of nowhere struck Alex, it was from the Marshalls Archer command they ask him to surrender peacefully but Alex realizing his plan of rising to power had crumbled he settled on taking Regina's life. As when he is about to, the archers fired a valley of arrows hitting him all over his body. The Marshall and his men after treating Regina and gathering evidences had ask for permission to Regina and Lee to return to base to get ready to war. And then Ronalds spirit with the three servants appear before them which now seemed happy. Without saying anything they vanish. They also concluded that the marks on Regina, Ronald and the Servants are warning signs from the third servant about the impending trouble.
With Hongwu armies warned and their plan shuttered, the Wanli's troops decided to fall back and return home.
It was a windy, cold, but sunny day, as the young boy smithy went out to play. He was a strong, fearless, playfull young man, came from a small village by the name of Jinan. His loving and caring father, the wise Daoyan always advised him: "Do not risk it when death is at hand! Go back and live your life, at least you will stand!" But smithy just replied: "I shall always fight till the very end!"
While fighting beasts and monsters with his trusty wooden spear he strayed to a huge house deep in the woods, but he had no fear. As he was entering the spooky old building a misterious voice started talking and convincing: "Do not make another step, or for sure you are dead!" But smithy just got interested and said: "I shall find out if this is my end!"
Smithy ran inside the house, carefulness he did lack, he challenged all monsters to start theire attack! Little did he know, this really was no game, a fearsome growl was heard from far back, but Smithy had no fear, he went after his fame. Then the misterious voice stopped him and said: "Do not make another step, or for sure you are dead!" But Smithy just replied: "I shall fight till the very end!"
As he was walking, the growling got louder, with every step the corridor grew darker. Fearless as smithy may be even his eyes could easily see that this is no ordinary structure. Did that discourage him? Not at all! Whatever the growling was, he planned its capture! He could not wait to get to the end of this hall!
Suddenly from the very darkest it emerged and growled the loudest! Four legs, three heads, but not a single heart. Turning and running would be oh so smart! It did not wait, nothing was said It just growled and went on ahead attacked the boy with all its might happened so quick, not prepared to fight Smithy just defended himself with his arm to which it caused quite some harm. But even when injured, Smithy had enought strenght, he stabbed it with his wooden, but sharp trusty spear. The spear was in the beast with much of its lenght The thing crawled away and the hallway seemed clear.
Smithy noticed this great big door and even with his wound he was ready to go when the misterious voice stopped him and said: "Do not make another step, or for sure you are dead!" But Smithy just replied: "I shall fight till the very end!"
The door opened with a mighty noise there was s being, not exactly man then Smithy heard a familiar voice it was the one, this he did not plan. "I warned you, but you did not obey! It is time to end your little play!" Smithy charged him, ready to fight but went through him, loosing all his might. How did the creature take Smithy down so well? Was it some sort of magical spell?
