Is it just me or have people opted out of real instruments in favor of flashy lights? "Oooh, perdy lights..."
There seems to be such a huge demand for them (enough for companies to realise they can sequal the crap outta them), but what is it that has the masses glued to this stuff? I dont get it?

The point for Guitar Hero/Rockband is to experience people with gaming of instermental and flashing lights. (I guess)

Most gamers don't have the skill or the money for a real intrument so they made something to attract the gamers.

It's basically appeal to the music lovers out there who suck completely at real instruments. Sad, yes. But it's bringing in cash for anyone who can make a successful game of the genre.
