tell us what was the worst thing for you this day. me: i study in the afternoon and today i had stomach ache so i wanted to came home and relax but my little brother was in the computer and i got nothing to do, i hate that, and i get bad grades too
@ Freakenstein I'm not gonna say you're wrong, but the whole point of this thread (or at least for me) was to rant, not necessarily to be correct. Yes, i know how high school is to prepare us for college which only THEN prepares us for real life, but even though it is necessary, can't you see why i find it annoying that we still don't end up using a lot of things we get taught? and as for The Crucible, it didn't have to do a whole lot on Muslims, or at least that's not what out teachers connected it to that, just the whole Red Scare. that actually brings me to the point about how I believe teachers often over-analyze books to death, which is exactly why i don't enjoy reading many of these books anymore. I am actually planning on re-reading Catcher in the Rye again on my own time, i read it last year, but i hated my teacher (i wasn't the only one, i'm not just some whiny prick, even most students' parents didn't like her) and she thoroughly destroyed that book for me. ANYWAY, i feel like i've used up my rant space so i'll leave it at that for now...
