1. Would I run the risk of some kind of corruption of the save file if I temporarily used it on another site by putting the data in that sites folder?

2. Do Shock and Triple Damage cap out at 14% on their pure gems even if the skills for each are maxed? ... I was just lookin at it yesterday and realized It wouldn't go above 14% for some reason. I haven't checked other gems to see if they max out like this...

3. What is a quicker fire rate, a higher or a lower number?

4. It seems like there are damage only traps like splash and triple damage but it seems like they wouldn't do much damage with their rate of fire, range, and damage. Do they do good damage?

5. Does poison damage stack?

Thats all I can think of now. Just started playing a while back and need to know some things. Thanks.

1. Probably not, but you should back up your save files with a text document or something.
2. Triple damage caps at 35% (for dual gems, which is what you should use), Shock at 14% (or 11%, I don't use these that much), All gems cap out. Here are the caps for dual gems and traps in parenthesis with maxed stats:
Orange - 8.4 mana steal (10.1 or so in trap)
Red - 38.5 spalsh (with maxed 6 monsters hit per shot)
Green - No cap
Blue - 55% slow (96% in trap with maxed Blue and Trap specials, so the monsters go at 4% speed) for (no cap) seconds.
Lime - 28% (not sure for traps)
Purple - 35% or 50% reduce armor (by 3 for traps).

Some of the data might be a little off.

3. A higher number. The max is 279 for towers (540 for traps, but with a yellow component, you get a % increase) with Grade 6 duals, and Grade 11 or 12 for almost anything else.

4. Splash hits multiple targets with at least 15 splash in traps. Yellow increases Firing Rate and Speed (and also, it doesn't say this, but you can also get triple damage with yellows in traps as well, so they're INCREDIBLE for traps). In fact, once you get good, you can super-gem with these and orange gems - think of a trap with maxed firing rate, orange, and red - this is known as an R/O (Red / Orange) supergem, and once you get these, the mana will be coming in faster than you can spend it, but you generally need a higher level to achieve this. Once you have almost a full map of R/O supergems, you can do the ROY (Red, Orange, Yellow) supergem, which is about 20% more effective mana-wise because of the increased fire-rate, but costs a lot more mana. Using this strategy, I was able to level from level 27 to 149 on "Endurance" mode, which is unlockable on level 16. The super-gemming process takes practice, but once you get it, it's awesome!

5. Poison Damage does not stack, I believe. It did stack in the first gemcraft, and the best way to beat the final epic boss (that I found), was to use tons of cyan and green gems and concentrate them in one or two kill-zone(s).

There are some more controls, such as gem transmuting - you do that by gem bombing pure gems onto other pure gems if you're wanting a particular gem (such as Orange or Red). Also, angering is very useful, and gets more useful the higher your level. You anger by gem bombing the sidebar, where you have your waves.

You send multiple gem bombs by holding shift down and pressing 1 or clicking the Gem Bomb icon. This is useful when combined with angering.
