Fire = Hot
Hot = Burn some materials
Boat on Fire = Burn some of boat, not crucial parts.
You seem to be forgetting that modern boats(including WW2 boats) are made out of metal; it's the planks that are wood. The hull, engine, etc(the important bits) are metal, which is more resistant to burning.

You see a metal pipe, presumably some kind of water pipe, running along the wall. It was previously covered by inner metal plating, but said plating was shot in the attack, exposing the large round pipe. You take hold of the pipe and heave with all your might...the pipe doesn't dislodge from its place, you're just not strong enough. You'll have to get someone else to do it, or maybe use some leverage or something.

Biography: Timofei was born a Half-blooded Russian, Son of an original Bolshevik Revolution Leader and a Foreign French of unknown background. In order to preserve his Prestige and maintain the legitimacy of the child, his father had the mother shipped off to the brutal Siberian camps to never be heard of again. Too young to understand or remember any of this,he grew up accepting his father's Mistress as a mother, who more or less wasn't up to it and disliked Timofei. Receiving a full formal education by a private teacher ( with little to no pay not to mention), he developed an interest in weaponry of the times and managed to acquire a few for himself and disassemble them. After a round accidentally fired off while disassembling a PPsH-41, his father became VERY angry at him, finding his stash of guns which he had mastered their inner workings, and had Timofei shipped off to the Eastern Front to face the Nazi menace.

You use the pipe to clear away enough of the debris so that there's a small crawl space, big enough for you to fit through. You can hear yells for help from inside. You feel the ship lurch dangerously underfoot, and you know there's not much time until she gives way and sinks. If that happens, everyone onboard is totally screwed and you won't be able to swim away(not many people know this, but when something huge sinks, it kinda creates a little gravity so that littler stuff get dragged under). You suffer minor burns from clearing away the debris.

Biography: Timofei was born a Half-blooded Russian, Son of an original Bolshevik Revolution Leader and a Foreign French of unknown background. In order to preserve his Prestige and maintain the legitimacy of the child, his father had the mother shipped off to the brutal Siberian camps to never be heard of again. Too young to understand or remember any of this,he grew up accepting his father's Mistress as a mother, who more or less wasn't up to it and disliked Timofei. Receiving a full formal education by a private teacher ( with little to no pay not to mention), he developed an interest in weaponry of the times and managed to acquire a few for himself and disassemble them. After a round accidentally fired off while disassembling a PPsH-41, his father became VERY angry at him, finding his stash of guns which he had mastered their inner workings, and had Timofei shipped off to the Eastern Front to face the Nazi menace.
