I'm guessing no, but I was wondering if it was possible to play say xbox games on a laptop. I really don't think it is, but I just want to be sure.

You can play portable console games on your laptop like a gameboy advance or a PSP. I'm not sure like an xBox or something.

Compared to PS2 emulation, Xbox emulation isn't well developed yet. It is possible but last time I heard you can't really play any games effectively.

This is a touchy subject though so I will go no further than that.

You can download the software, but you won't really be able to play games. Why do I have to repeat myself?

depends. There are emulators out there, but depending on your laptop I wouldn't suggest anything more than an N64 emulator

Remember that use of emulation software to play console games is generally illegal. The technicalities are complex.. We are not supposed to help you obtain the means to emulating copyrighted games on AG.

I believe we should end the discussion soon.

Last I knew the emulators themselves were legal, but the games were not.

Yes. Though most people have no use for emulators without games.

Oh, I forgot part of it, sorry. Its actually legal to make a copy if you have the hard copy(or it used to be).

The rules are pretty complicated I must say.. Most people don't bother reading up on terms. I do believe it's allowed to backup your game, as long as you own it and you are only making a single backup.

That US law?

The rules are mostly non-existent, and yes I am talking about US laws. And it is a single copy, but its virtually impossible to prove how many copies you made, or how many games you have or have not owned to make copies of.

Yes. In the end the likelihood of being caught is low as we all know, but it's still illegal.
