I was hoping I wouldn't like this show because let's face it, it's just another zombie story. I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to see if the husband was going to shoot his wife while telling his son to stay downstairs, good stuff! I hated the scene where the sheriff has to sacrifice the horse. That was a total "bone head" moment that wasn't necessary except to make me mad. >.<
I've missed the last two episodes so feel free to fill me in.
When Rick, the sheriff went back to Atlanta to check on redneck guy on the roof, redneck guy's brother freaked when he saw just the hand. Is redneck guy still alive? Will the sheriff find out about his jerk deputy who lied to Rick's wife and started a relationship with her? Did sheriff Rick find his black friend with the son that helped him adjust to zombie life? Do they have the weapons bag or did redneck guy find it first? Did he ambush the sheriff? Sure, this is a zombie soap opera but I like the gritty, almost reality feel to it. I agree, they could step up the pace but just like ABC did with Lost, when they highlight each main character we start to like them like they were our neighbors.
I hope they don't have to repeat the blood-smeared clothes scene. That was a little too real!

SPOILER
The next one they encounter another group of survivors and each takes one of their group. There is a standoff because the second group wants their guns. Also more zombies find their camp several of them are kill by Zombies.
The Next one one of their party was bitten but not killed they decide to leave camp and try to look for the remnants of government they hope they have a cure, there's a guy alone in a research building CDC i think and hes getting cabin fever when they show up he watches them threw a camera and eventually opens the door because of the pleas (they were about to get overrun at dusk). The episode ends with the white light at the end of the tunnel type thing when the doors open
