Let me get this straight, you have an Alienware laptop, and it just returned from Geek Squad. Well good for you, I also have a laptop but it's not Alienware, and I love it.
-gasp- Me too! I have a Toshiba, had Dell not scared me off forever I probably would've had another one of their computers. The Alienware line is just ridiculously expensive, it would be much cheaper to build one from scratch.

Um, actually this laptop only costs $600 which is about... 600 Dollars.
I have the M17x from about a year ago. Heavy little beast, but a beast nonetheless. Dual core 2.93GHz, 8GB RAM, Win7 Ultimate, 1920x1200 17" display, red aluminum case, etc.. ConArtist is at our office this week and he's using it for some Flash work and he loves it too.
Oh yeah, and the engraved "cormyn" name plate on the bottom is nice to show off too ;o)
Nice laptop cormyn, I wish I could afford a laptop like that. I love Alienware computers. I like their backlit keyboards. The lighting is different then white/blue lighting. They're great gaming computers also. All I have is an HP computer.
It was expensive, that's all i'm gonna say. Had I bought everything possible, the rig could have cost over $6,000USD, but I opted not to take out a loan to pay the thing off lol.
My favorite feature is the three video cards ... two nvidia 260M's with 1GB of RAM in SLI mode, and a lower-power 9400-series chipset for battery mode (or the "don't cause 3rd-degree burns on my lap, kthx" mode). That, and the backlit keyboard.
I bought it because our last apartment had our office and nursery sharing a room and our son was a light sleeper and gaming in the office at night was waking him up. This was a nice compromise of a gaming rig that was portable.

I am ridiculously jealous of you and your laptop. I wish I could have such a machine, you must be loved, contemplated and bowed.

I only had my laptop for a few months, and I bought it for $800. It was on sale, I dunno how much it was when it wasn't on sale, but probably over $1200. And the keyboard glows. Right now it switches slowly between blue and green, which are my favorite colors. Almost no lag on here, although games with bad servers cause lag. My old laptop, is a bulky (Over 20 inches wide I think) ASUS gaming laptop, and was bought in 2008 for about $2000. Since I was too lazy to uninstall big files that I don't use, it had lag. Thus I saved my $10 a week allowance, money for birthday and christmas presents, and after about a year I finally got my Alienware laptop. I think its about 14 inches long.
