I thought the intense jump scares in the beginning parts of the game were not necessary. First half your Like OMG MONSTERS! Then I AM GOD!
The plot produces a paradox, Renko has been stuck in said paradox for some time it seems. Long enough to yell at himself to stop saving Demichev.
If your not any older than 17/18 the plot will be complex. This is the reason most mature games are rated mature. Little kids wont understand. Thats why Halo, GTA, and CoD is dominated by children, I call them squeelers. The plot of Halo 3 was literally "SHOOT STUPH, and ooh a gernade."

Isn't it he did not just shout at demichev because if that happened he wouldn't be there at the first place. My two cents: At the end of the game you'll be needing to kill yourself. This i think is the only way you can cut the paradox and the time loop, as you will be killed at an earlier time meaning none of the so far events would have happened.
