You simply copy the image location, then here in the forum use the bbcode for images around the url of the image you want to upload.

Let's go through this step by step...

1. Make a Photobucket/DeviantArt
2. Upload an image to your account.
3. In Photobucket, click the image you just uploaded. Somewhere there it should say BBCode or Image for Bulletin or Forums. On deviantArt just right click the image and click "copy image url".
4. Go to a thread here and click the "image" button. Paste the URL there.
5. It should look like this: [ img ] http://www.google.com/images/logos/ps_logo2.png [ /img ] without spaces.
Here's what it looks like with spaces. http://www.google.com/images/logos/ps_logo2.png

If you're trying to put an image that's already on a site all you have to do is left click the image and click "Copy image URL". Repeat step 4.

I hope that helps.

When you use images from Photobucket, copy the Direct Link URL that should be to the left of the image, not the URL from your browser's address bar.

The problem I see with some people is that they seem to be confused between the actual location of the image and the location of the page which just displays the image.

I think knowing this doesn't make you a geek, basically everyone knows how to do this.

Yep, and I bet he'd taste good with some ketchup.

Your cat is really cute, freaky eyes though.

Why is that? Many cultures consider cat meat a delicacy, so what's the problem? Although I doubt many of them use ketchup...

Which is what I was referring to, you can't ruin a delicacy with ketchup, duh!

Yes I can, because I'm just that cool. Beside, who's to say that cat+ketchup doesn't become a new, better delicacy?

Yeah, I'm not too worried about a house cat. Worst case scenario I let my pit/lab mix do the killing and we split the feast.
