If someone said this, or it was brought up, would you agree with it?

it really depends on what you know and how you use it. If you know a lot of sick, twisted, and thoroughly useless command of information, then it is a burden. On the other hand, if you know things that will come in handy and help you and others, then its a gift.

That's my take on it anyways

hmmm "knowledge is a burden"...... only to those who have it lol, hmmm in my case JUST having it... is a curse, but applying it is a gift.

Never. Might be occupational bias, but knowledge, information and the like should be shared and spread out.
The only reason "ignorance is bliss" is because you don't know things could be worse. But you wouldn't know if things could be much better either.
However, agreeing with Zophia on the "taking magic out of", but not because of the knowledge itself, but because of what people will do with the knowledge they have.

In my opinion, knowledge may be a burden to the self, but those without knowledge are a burden on society.

Knowledge without wisdom is a waste of knowledge.

Can it be a burden? Sure, but doesn't any skill or tool come with burdens? the knowledge that things are worse then they are can be a burden to know, but again with more knowledge we may even be able to over come such issues.

knowledge makes the world shrink and turns you into a far more analytical person,

I disagree if anything it makes the world all that much bigger.

Knowledge takes the magic out of life.

I don't agree, you can look at a flower and see the magic and beauty of that flower. with knowledge you can look at that same flower and not just see the magic and beauty of that flower but the magic and beauty of how the genetic make up of that flower, how the atomic structure is made up, the processes that had to take place for that flower to even exist, not just for that flower but it's entire species.

I don't agree that it's a burden, but it can definitely be a hindrance.

I also disagree here, if anything it's a means of advancement. If anything is a hindrance it's ignorance.
