in my school if you're late then it depends on the teacher.
If it's a good one then you just get away with it all the time(at the moment I can't remember a single day where I wasn't late. And I have not a single detention for that.
We get 5 min to go between classes, because our school is big. but if you have something like drama, which is one one end of the school, and then maths, at the other end, you will be late.
I see the point of each rule in our school but i dont necessarily follow them.
Oh 1 biggest thing in our school is UNIFORM. shirt tucked in, tie to waist, blazer on at all times, no hoodies or non uniform clothes to be worn under blazer while inside the building, no charity bands, school shoes only etc.. and for girls: skirt the right length, make-up not allowed(enforeced less but still enforced).
for all these, if caught in corridor, instanst 10 min detention. No-one follows these. the on in bold is esspecially stupid
