I am a protestant, but most importantly I am a born-again Christian with a personal relationship with God. I believe the teachings of the New Testament.
I've always wondered how you KNOW it's a relationship with God. For a start: How do you know it's the Abrahamic God and not a different one? How do you know you're not just imagining this relationship? How do you define a relationship with God? How do you know it's not actually some demonic force trying to drive you down the wrong path? Does God talk to you in your head? Are you schizophrenic or does your family have a history of mental health problems?
I think that Catholics, Protestants and all the other Christianity are the same. I mean get over it and live together. Its all pretty much the same thing.
I do think you should respect Saints, but not talk to god through them. If he cares about the sparrows, and I are much more, I think he would rather talk to me Personally.
Also, i saw Catholics get baptized with ash or something, when the scripture itself says water.
Ash isn't mentioned anywhere. And Jesus baptized with fire, not ash.

Do you mean Thomas Moore? You know the one that burned Christians for trying to read the bible in their own language. Or Drogo the saint of unattractive people?
What are you talking about? Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, which means it would have been water, since baptisms by John most likely took place in the Jordan River.
You just kind of know. I don't really know how to explain it.
Wishful thinking to reassure yourself life will be OK. Sorry if that sounds harsh.
What's the deal with people saying they've got a personal relationship with "god"? What's gods fave food then? can you tell us what he thinks of atheists with out quoting a bible?
i am Protestant, but that doesn't mean i hate all Catholics. as for the majority of the world between Catholics and Protestants. idk. what i do know is that Christians have the most of the world under its wing.
