I've lately been curious about other peoples Internet connection speeds, and now I am curious of what the average speeds of the people on AG have. I am also interested of peoples ping.

So just take two simple tests at: http://speedtest.net/ and http://www.pingtest.net/

Just click "Begin Test" and it will choose a local host for you. When it's done just click "Copy Forum Link" and paste it here, then change the "IMG" from capital letters to lower case letters.

Ohh, right. I forgot that the Forum Link from both sites include URL, so just use the "Copy Direct Link" and use the image BB-code thing.
Or the images get messed up.

It's cool to see all the Ping tests, this is a very interesting thread! but you guys do realize that it's giving away your approximate locations as well. (If your fine with that than it doesn't matter. Just wanted to let you know though).

I don't really care to be honest. Within a fair radius of my "supposed" location (Burnaby BC), that could be anyone in Metro Vancouver, which includes over 2.2 million people. So I'm not too worried about it LOL

It shows different result each time I take this test. We share internet here in dorm, don't know how it all goes. But it's satisfying, no complaints.

the page won't even load fully. Left it sits for 10 minutes to. this should give you some idea, of how terribly slow dial up is.

I use these to test the Wii's internet. In that particular room, it's ****. Down in my room though it's awesome, except I'm too lazy to test it now >_>

I've been there pawning kid. You're an internet martyr. I remember when you had to go to the post office and pay the amount of time you plan to spend on the internet. After that paying was available through phone bill. Luckily ADSL came, it's a big difference between the two but it's still slow compared to the rest of the world.
