I have another 'album cover-cover' here...

Metallica's 'Master of Puppets', but slightly different! =D



As for new entries on the most destinctive album covers, what about "Metallica - The Black Album"? That's an album cover almost everyone in the world knows I presume...



And what about the famous (copied almost every day) album cover by "The Beatles - Abbey Road"?! That one should count for something, right?

I know there's more, but those are 2 really good album covers.

I believe that the Beatles "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" has one of the most distinctive album covers. It is filled with very bright colors and has the interesting design of having many famous people on it. Plus, the album cover helped to inspire the attempt at making very creative album covers.
I also very much like the Who's "Tommy" album

there is just something about this album that makes it seem to look cool to me.

Hmmm... seems like my Beatles Album Cover didn't stick for some reason... >=(

Well... Here's another attempt!

"The Beatles - Abbey Road"

Most copied album cover ever... and now it's even a monument according to English gouvernment! Nice...

"Clawfinger - Deaf, Dumb, Blind"

This one was introduced to me by a fellow student back in the days of highschool and I loved it's cover at first sight! And let me tell you... the music was even better!!!

"System Of A Down - Steal This Album"

A wonderful and extremely simple way to provoke people... make an album and name it "Steal This Album"! I must tell you that I never had the urge though... I just bought it!! LOL

"Smashing Pumpkins - Zeitgeist"

I'm not a fan of them, at all, but this album cover has something to it... can't put my finger on it, but yeah!!

Can't believe it was only THEN that I thought of them... *facepalms* O.O

And sorry for the 'Abbey Road' mentioning, only saw it was on page 1 of the thread after I posted my previous post...
Ahum... allright, here we go!

"Rage Against The Machine - "

One of the most powerful and politically influenced album covers of all times... it still is one of my alltime favorite bands! ...and that's not only because of their neverending stamina to keep on 'bashing the power in their golden tower'!!

"Guns 'n Roses - Appetite For Destruction"

One of those album covers that are recognised instantly all over the world! Even by people who are not a fan... =P

"Prince - Lotus Flower"

The colours and imaging used on this album cover make for a beautiful picture to look at! The music on it was so-so...

And last, but most of all NOT LEAST...

"Van Halen - 1984"

To me, one of the best albums ever made! Not only of this particular band, but also for the entire music available and that I've been able to listen to so far! PLUS, it's (again) an album cover that is recognised by a lot of people when shown to them, even if they are not a fan... =)

@ aknerd : simply post the image of the particular album by "Velvet Underground" you like most! To do that, use the 'image' button and copy/paste the link to the album cover in it!

@ jaza_m : at first I couldn't make up what the image was showing, when I googled it, but then... I saw why you didn't post the album cover here on AG... and I can add to this: smart thinking there! Because you would have MOST CERTAINLY been slapped on the whrist (if not worse) by the admins and/or mods for posting it! O.O

Anyone have any more images of nice album covers to share with us? I'm really curious to see what all the other users have in mind or fav-ed on this topic here! =D
