E:"Well 40 years is a long time to not do something, and sometimes I might slip.... And I don't see why not tell them." E: "And are you inferring I am 120?"
All right, here is your description of the Elfstone Tavern. I may or may not have taken a few liberties, but I am the DM and YOU WILL RESPECT MAH AUTHORITAY!
The main taproom is about forty or fifty feet high with living trees in it, ranging from sapling pine trees to grandiose oaks and redwoods. In each of the four corners is a large, mature oak tree. To the right side is a large set of stairs that seem to be grown from the trees' roots themselves, presumably leading to upper story rooms containing sleeping quarters for visitors who wish to stay the night. The roof is dominated by a large skylight that nearly serves as the entirety of the roof, but you can see shutters that can be used to control the skylights, creating pictures of shadows on the ground, making sure that the trees in their respective spots get sunlight and water when it's raining, etc. There is a small earthen door on the back wall, which probably leads to some sort of staff room. The room is dimly lit and smelled earthy, of dirt and water. The walls are covered with torches that provide flickering blue flame, and dangling from the ceiling are crystal chandeliers that bear several candles glowing with a silvery-white flame. In one corner, a young female Elven minstrel strums on a harp and sings softly in Elvish. There are circular tables arranged in a pattern around the large room, that are not made out of wood but of some other material you cannot identify. It looks like colored glass, but is not fragile. Almost all of the patrons are Elven or Half Elven-all of the staff is-but there are about two humans and one halfling in the place, compared to about thirty to forty Elves and Half Elves. There are a few waiters and waitresses scampering from customer to customer, talking for a while, then returning promptly with the requested items.
E: "Common when around the Party or in the Humanlands in general, makes it easier on them... But in private or special circumstances like this one, Elven would be nice, haven't had someone to talk to in it for years......" *epic facepalm* 116 isn't even close.......
Hmmm my saved copy on my pwn'd laptop had the age and I believe like...134 maybe? E:"Oh don't be brash, we're here for each other, not just for me. What do you want to do?"
You two sit down at one of the tables and after only a few moments, a Moon-Elven waiter walks up to you. "Welcome to the Elfstone Tavern," he says, smiling. "What can we do for you, sir and madam?"
