Okay I get what you're saying, your have spent very little time listening to the old music compared to listening to their newer music. So, you don't know the old music in depth.
I don't mind the change in their musical style, I don't even care if they seem like "sell outs" (I don't think they are), it's just that they're newest Album isn't as distinct and recognizable Lincoln Park as their older music is.
I only know their newer music and I can say I like it. I've heard Minutes to Midnight, which overall is better that their really new stuff (Catalyst) and I've only heard a few songs from before Minutes to Midnight but it is better too.
yeah that pretty much sums up my opinion of them, I actually havent heard much of anything from The Catalyst so I can't really judge that CD. But Minutes to Midnight is by far my favorite.
I havent seen one person here who likes their music now, so why did they go mainstream? they lost alot of hardcore fans, and even more fairweather fans including me.
I still like most of Linkin Parks music, but I have to say their earlier stuff was better. They have great talent but they just need to show it more in their newer stuff. I personally think that they're really good live too. When I heard their "Road to Revolution" live album it really made me wanna see them live. And it was worth it.
Linkin Park was the best back when they did stuff like "In the End","Faint",and "What i've Done"They had great potential but then BAM.They switched over to their crappy side.I still listen to their old songs though.
there old music was the best but i disagree with their new stuff being crap, Waiting for the end is my favorite song on their newest album, nd its really good [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qF_qbaWt3Q]
i think theyre sold out now. after minutes to midnight its hard to follow up such a master peice. i love that album, and really all of there music was fairly mainstream and minutes to midnight and the following project revolution tours were really the peak of there fame in general
