The Red Pyramid seemed just to be another cash cow, not an actual book. It wasn't nearly as engaging, or original. It had a few good bits, but it was overall a rerun of the Percy Jackson books (which I love). Kids discover that they are descended from gods, travel across country to stop/regain something, defeat the god who feels spited, without sacrificing, live happily ever after while passing the buck to the next poor kid.
Yeah, I read the Percy Jackson series, it entertained me for a week reading those five books, I love Greek mythology, so anything along the lines of that entertains me.
I have, The Lost Hero and Red Pyramid, but haven't got around to reading either of them.
I read the Percy Jackson series. It was very good. The only criticism I have would be that it seems a bit juvenile, but besides that, I like the books. The plot is very cool.
I love the Percy Jackson series and I own all those books including The Lost Hero. By the way, the next book that comes out for The Lost Hero is fall 2011.
