Hey guys. Yeah tonight while I was eating I pondered on something. So here's a question for you. If you flip a ketchup bottle upside down(it doesn't have to be a ketchup bottle) and you say you want the ketchup to go to the bottom so it's faster to get it out. Well you should say you want the ketchup to go to the top, but wait a minute you can't say that because the ketchup is going down.
Just think about it. I know I didn't describe my thought the best, but hey! Let's look on the bright side, there's a question for all of us to think about!
Oh that's a really interesting thought. But it would be right to say "The ketchup comes though the top" even if it's upside down. You just have to see it from the local perspective, which would be that the bottle has it's opening on the top. But most people see it from the global perspective, which means that the ketchup flows downwards. It's confusing if you aren't used to think so, but it gets easier over time.
I agree with XVERB. i think you ought to say you want the ketchup to flow to the cap. it makes things easier for people who can not visualize the concept.
y do you need to explain what ur doing with the bottle to people anyway. i mean its pretty easy to see whats going on. whenever i flip a bottle i don't say " i want the ketchup to flow to the cap" or anything like that.
