Games like Golden Eye, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask (Like what ShatterGlass said) are all classics and cannot be beaten. Even though they've tried to port those said games to the DS they'll never live up to their original glory.
Wait what? You actually have to ask? N64 is perhaps the greatest gaming system to ever have been created. It has a fanatstic game library many of which are classics. James Bond: Golden Eye, Occarina of Time, Perfect Dark, Mario 64, Mario Kart, need I continue?
It's the best of ALL time. Oh sure the new systems are flashy, but the games nowadays lack depth, story and replayability. Give me an N64 with James Bond, Occarina of Time and Mario 64 and I'll never get bored.
I never had a nintendo 64, though, luckily, I have gotten the chance to play one. To be honest, with some games, the graphics on the 64 are better than the graphics on the DS. And as everyone else has said, the amount of classics on the N 64 are endless.
ANYWAYS, it's not really a pointless comparison, seeing as how they are both Nintendo systems, at least... that's what I think. N64 may be the older system, but it still has better games and what not than the newer DS...which goes to show, that just because hardware and technology advance...doesn't mean peoples creativity and game creating skills do. A lot of older games have better plots and story lines than newer stuff. It seems most games these days concentrate on graphics and special features, moreso than plot and story line and character developement. Which I say is a fail.... you need a balance of all to make a truly great game. Well, give or take certain games, that are just for mindless action.... I lost track of what I was talking about.... **** this old age.
